Relay For Life

Once again, Shaffer Animal Hospital is participating in Relay for Life!
The event is put on by local volunteers in our community with the
help and support of the American Cancer Society to promote cancer
awareness, provide support for survivors undergoing treatment, and
remember those we have lost. We are proud to be a part of such a
special and important event.

This year, Relay for Life of Oviedo, Geneva, and Chuluota will be held
at Hagerty High School from 6pm on April 13th through noon on April
14th.  This year the theme of the event is, “Cancer is No Game”, and
each team will represent an individual game. Shaffer Animal Hospital
will be “Go Fish!”.

If you are interested in helping us reach our team goal of $2,000,
here are some of the ways you can participate:

*Revolution Fundraiser at Shaffer Animal Hospital
March 19-April 14th: For each six month box of canine or feline
Revolution sold, Shaffer Animal Hospital will donate $10 of the cost
towards our team goal. Please protect your pets from parasites and
help us reach our goal, too!

*Tijuana Flats Spirit Night on Apri 2nd From 5:00-9:00 Pm:
Tijuana Flats will generously donate a portion of their proceeds on
behalf of Shaffer Animal Hospital. Please be sure to let them know
you are dining with them for the Spirit Night, as this is the only way
to account for the donation to be made. There will be a bowl for you
to drop your receipt in. All proceedsfrom this will go directly to support
Relay for Life.

*Register online to be a part of our team! We will need help
setting up, and having team members walk or run on the track for the
entire duration of the event. Even a half hour or a few hours of your
time will be greatly appreciated. Your time is a valuable resource, and
we always welcome familiar faces as we walk into the wee hours of the
morning. Additionally, you can fundraise on your own with family and
friends, but this is not required!

*Purchase a Relay “Footprint” at Shaffer Animal Hospital:
For $1, you can purchase a footprint, and write your name, your pet’s
name, or a name of a loved one to show your support.

*Show your support at the Relay for Life Event:
There will be Leo’s Italian Ice, cotton candy, and fishing games and
prizes at our booth, so please stop by and say hello!
