In Honor Of Our Super Senior Felines
Many cats can live long lives and it is not unusual to see some
cats exceed 18 years. The oldest recorded domestic cat is
Lucy Thomas from South Wales. Lucy is 39 years old! She was
born in 1972, which is equivalent to 156 human years.
Your cat's longevity of life is dependent on many factors such as
lifestyle, diet, genetics and body condition.
Senior cats, 8 years and older, can develop arthritis just like
humans. We can help manage their pain with tretments such as
food, joint supplement, and laser therapy.
Preventative measures you can take to help your cat live as long
as possible include:
*Bi-annual check ups with current vaccine status
*Parasite Prevention such as Revolution for heartworm, intestinal
parasites and fleas/ticks.
*Early detection lab work
*Radiographs
*Proffessional Dental Care
*Proper nutrition
